This katana is hand-forged 1095 high carbon steel with a real water-temper hamon, a ray skin handle with cotton wrap and a Fugaku tsuba. It ships with a silk gift box and a certificate.

The line on the blade is from heat treatment, not paint. That's the difference. It's a big one.

Blade & intended use

Functional sharp blade – 1095 high carbon steel, water tempered. This sword ships with a live edge and is intended for experienced adult collectors and practitioners. Adults 18+ only. Please check your local laws before purchasing, and always handle, store and transport it with care.

Care: wipe the blade after handling and keep a light coat of oil on it to prevent rust.

Sold as a decorative display piece. Intended for display and collection only.
