This katana is 5160 spring steel, through-hardened, with a groove-free shinogi-zukuri blade, a straight hamon line, a real ray skin handle, a black wrap and gold and silver plated accents.

Through-hardened means it doesn't like to break. It is for people who know what they're doing. Everyone thinks that's them.
